How do I rent a boat?

  • All rentals are made through our reservation system, therefore please reserve online by clicking HERE.
  • If you come to the Marina during a busy time, we will be happy to help make a reservation for you.

What happens in bad weather?

  • If we have to close the marina due to severe weather (heavy lightning, heavy winds/hail, tornado, etc.) we will issue you a full refund.
  • We will always do everything in our power to get you on the water including changing the time or day of your reservation if necessary.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

  • No. We require payment in full at the time of your reservation.

Do I need a boating license?

  • No. We do require a driver’s license.

Can I cancel my reservation?

  • Yes, with a full refund if more than 48 hours prior to your reservation.
  • If you cancel within 24-48 hours you will be charged for one hour of your reservation.
  • No refunds if cancelling the day of your reservation.
  • It could take about 7 days to see the credit on your account.

Can I move my reservation?

  • Yes, up until 48 hours before your reservation.
  • How do I change or cancel my reservation?
  • Click on the link in your reservation invoice and create an account with the same email you used to create your reservation.
  • Once logged in, click on your name at the top right.
  • Click on “Edit this booking”.

Can I sign the waiver online?

  • No, we need to verify the person that made the reservation is the same as on the watercraft.

Where are the pontoons located?

Where are the kayaks and paddle boards located?

Can I launch my own kayak at the lake?

  • Yes. Rocky Fork Lake is a state park and open to all.

What are the weight capacities?

  • Single Kayak – 300 pounds
  • Double Kayak – 550 pounds
  • Paddle Board – 300 pounds

What do I need to bring with me?

  • The only thing you need to bring with you is a driver’s license.

Is there an age minimum for rentals?

  • Children of any age can ride on a pontoon and count as a passenger.
  • Pontoon boat captains must be a minimum 18 years old.
  • A driver’s license is needed for all rentals.

When should I arrive?

  • All members of your party should arrive 15 minutes prior to your reservation time for waiver completion, life jacket fitting and instructions.

Am I allowed to bring food and drink on board?

  • Yes, but state law prohibits alcohol on state park beaches and lakes.
  • No cooking or grilling is permitted on the watercraft.

Do you offer any discounts?

  • Yes, we offer a 10% Military Discount. We do require proof of Military ID at check-in.
  • We also have promotions throughout the year for discounted rates.

What happens if I’m late returning?

  • Please don’t be, as we are often sold out and others will be waiting on your rental.
  • You will be charged a late fee twice the hourly rate.

Is swimming allowed other than the beach area?

  • Yes, there is a designated area where you can swim off your boat.
  • A ladder is provided on each pontoon boat.

Is tubing & skiing allowed on the lake?

  • Yes, but not behind our rental boats, due to insurance purposes.

Are jet skis allowed on the lake?

  • Yes

Are pets allowed?

  • Yes, but no more than two on a boat.

Are lifejackets required?

  • A life jacket will be provided for every passenger, as per Ohio boating regulations.
  • Children under the age of 10 must wear a life jacket at all times, but we encourage them to be worn by all passengers.
  • Lifejackets are included in the rental price.
  • If you bring your own, it must be Coast Guard approved.

How long should I rent a pontoon?

  • That depends on what you want to do.
  • If you want to fish or swim, then 4+ hours.

Can I fish off the boat?

  • Yes, and you can fish anywhere in the lake except swimming areas.

Is a fishing license required?

  • Persons under 16 years of age are not required to purchase a fishing license.
  • Those 16 yrs and older are required.
  • Licenses can be purchased online HERE or most Walmarts.

What fish are in the lake?

  • Bass, bluegill, crappie, catfish, yellow perch, white bass, walleye and saugeye.

How deep is the lake?

  • The deepest part is around 40′.

What bait do you sell?

  • Nightcrawlers and wax worms.
  • We no longer sell live minnows.
  • There is a bait shop called Cole’s Bait & Tackle that sells most of your fishing needs.

  • We sell drinks and snacks at the Marina.
